I absolutely love my church family. I know that my church is a very important part of my life.

Do you go to church or are you part of a regular church family? I absolutely love my church and the people who attend there.
My husband and I found our church about two years ago. We instantly fell in love with our pastors' teachings and the praise and worship. Born and raised from Baptist beliefs, we then found a First Baptist Church and we fit in completely with everyone who also attends there.
Our church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists and the Southeast Kansas Baptist Association. Everyone has always made us feel welcome and a part of the family even on our first visit.
Here are just some of the things that we believe.
✟ We believe the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter.
✟ We believe there is one and only one living and true God. He is manifested to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
✟ We believe man was created in God's own image and is the crowning work of His creation. We further believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female.
✟ We believe marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 2:18-25).
✟ We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole person. It is a free gift of God that He offers through His grace and is made possible because of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
✟ We believe a New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel.
✟ We believe the two ordinances are baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. Both ordinances are observed as symbolic acts of obedience.
These are the beliefs that we as a church family believe in and I borrowed those beliefs from our Church's Website to share with others that may be a bit confused as in what we believe.
I'd love to say first of all that our Pastor only preaches from the true word from the Bible and if it's not scriptural, then he won't preach it. He is very knowledgeable and makes sure to not pass any false information that may mislead anyone differently. The most amazing thing I love is that if you have a question for him about the Bible or anything to do with any other subject, he is sure to let you know some great advice, but only if it has scripture with it or from the Bible. You never have to worry about getting any false or misleading information. It makes you feel secure in everything that he teaches us.
Sadly, some people have the wrong idea of our church since it is "Baptist". Listen, it's not the 1800's. LOL. You have to remember there are hundreds of different Baptist churches in the United States. And some different people seem to think that we believe as a church that once we are saved that we will get into heaven before anyone else will. This is certainly Not True at all. In the almost two years that I've been listening to my pastor's sermons has he ever said such things. He is always teaching us to be better. To repent for our sins. To not be prideful and to never think you're better than anyone else. He teaches us to love others and to forgive others. So just to point that out, we don't think by any means that we are going to be pushing you out of the way to run past you in line at heaven's gates. We pray that we can be non-sinners in the sinful world that we do live in and it's very hard to not sin. But as for going to heaven we pray for all to enter those golden gates at the same time. (Unless those who die first of course. They got first dibs on Jesus)
Another subject that people seem to get confused on is that they think that once we are saved that we can live our life any way that we want to and still go to heaven. This is also very untrue. Not one time has my pastor preached these words to us. Yes, we have to be saved and to be baptized. But we have to ask for forgiveness (sometimes even daily) just like everyone else has to. If we believed that we could live our life any way that we wanted to, then why continue to go to church? We can be born again and get baptized, and then never have to return to church again if we are automatically welcome into heaven with zero consequences to our choices after baptism. But no, we don't believe that and that's why we make sure to be a part of our church family every Sunday and even on get together events and Bible Study's. We all need to hear the word and let me tell you, our pastor will step on your toes sometimes too. He will get to preaching, and ouch, Yep, he's preaching to me today, Lord! Hahaha.
So, I just wanted to say how amazing it is to be a part of such an amazing loving Baptist church family. We love you just the same as we love our church family. I promise we won't push you out of line when we are standing at heaven's gates. We will most likely hold the door open for you to enter because we want you there with us.
I will say this. Please be careful in searching for your forever church family though. Many will give false information about other churches.
But my church is amazing. My pastor and his wife are amazing. And my church family is also amazing.
My husband and I are blessed to the moon and back to have found our Baptist family church!
Have a great night everyone!
