Do you like to have certain cleaning days to make yourself feel better?

I hope that everyone had an amazing fourth of July vacation. I know I did!
On Friday last week I got to spend some time with my sweet friend Terra. We went for a soda and shopping, then we had Chik-fil-A. I hadn't eaten there in quite some time so it was fab!
On Saturday, my husband, me, my daughter and her boyfriend with all the grandkids came to watch the big firework show with us at our home town and we spent the day together. It was SUPER HOT but all worth getting to spend the time with my daughter and grandkids. Any chance to spend time with my daughter I jump on it!
My husband was off for 4 days so it was nice to just chill and be lazy for a few days together.
So then today happens. haha. My husband went back to work today and I was very excited to spend a whole day alone with no one else around before I start babysitting tomorrow for the week. And my plan was just to chill all day and do nothing. Do some reading, study in my Bible over what Pastor teached on Sunday morning and Sunday night. BUT, I made a mistake by paying too much attention to the messy bathroom. haha.
I got tired of looking at the dirty walls and floor and the built up dirt on the shower curtain. Also my makeup was all disorganized and literally everything was just thrown in every spot where it would fit and I couldn't take it anymore.
SO, the first thing I did was take down my shower curtain and the shower caddy out of the tub. I threw the shower curtain in the washing machine and I washed it with Odo-ban. I scrubbed the shower and tub with Comet and Odo-ban while I waited for the shower curtain to wash.
After scrubbing the shower and tub, it was time to wash the walls. So I took the Odo-ban and sprayed it on every wall top to bottom and washed it o ff the walls with a hand towel until they were all nice and clean and smelly good.
I scrubbed the toilet from top to bottom, then the sink and got those all nice.
Then it was time to scrub the floors. This one I hate, but our bathroom floor is a disaster and it had to be done. I sprinkled Odo-ban and Comet all over the floor and got on my knees with the scrub brush and I scrubbed the whole floor by hand, then I took a damp old towel and wiped the floor down.
We have only one small little cabinet in the bathroom for things to be kept in, and there were many things in that cabinet that didn't belong there. I did find some of my husbands tools down there too. LOL.
I cleaned out the cabinet and organized it real nice and a lot of things were thrown away that were expired. Then I cleaned out our 3 little hangy things on the wall and organized those as well.
I organized my makeup bag on the wall and washed out all of my makeup brushes by hand.
It was time to hang my niece, clean shower curtain back up. I just have a plain plastic cheap shower curtain, but I do want you to know that you can throw them right in the washer and it works great! I also used HOT water in the wash.
It took me almost 3 hours to clean the bathroom and then I was tired. I don't really understand how 2 people can make such a mess of things. I know the grandkids do help to make things messy, but everything that had to be put away or thrown away was either me or my husbands things.
SO, this is why I say, just worry about one room at a time. One day at a time. After spending 3 hours cleaning one room, it's A LOT! But also so worth it if everyone does their part picking up or wiping up messes.
After getting the bathroom clean it felt good mentally and it smelled very nice.
So, if you are trying to clean your house, don't overwhelm your self with trying to do everything at once. It will eventually get done at some point.
Here is to mental health and baby steps on cleaning!
