Hi everyone and welcome to my Mini Prayer Quilt Page! Please read my story below to learn what I am selling this brand new product all handmade from my home and what I'm going to use the money for.

On September 1, 2010 I got a DWI. My boyfriend at the time worked nights and so I would drive to take him lunch some nights. Well....on this particular night I just had to be drinking and driving. I was very intoxicated too. It was storming pretty bad which made my vision to see in the dark driving drunk almost impossible. (Yes I know VERY STUPID)
As I was leaving Sonic I continued to drive on in the storm, but I missed my turn and drove straight into a very large opening of nothing but flooded water. I tried putting the car in reverse (not even realizing how bad I had wrecked and how deep of water I had drove into.) We can just say that the water was going into the car and halfway up the doors.
I got out of the car and just left it there and starting running to the nearest shelter that I could get under because it was storming so bad I wanted out of the rain and I was already soaked from head to toe.
Well...someone seen me running from the scene of my wreck and called the cops on me. As if it wasn't bad enough that I had already wrecked my ex's car driving drunk, now the cops thought I was running from them.
I had found shelter in the nearest block I was by and I stood underneath someone's garage over port to block the rain off from me.
No longer than I had found shelter from the rain, I seen flashlights running up the road to me and dogs barking. Of course, it was the police and their drug dogs to come find me.
The police held their guns at me "Pointed" and yelled at me to lay on the ground face down in the mud. (and In The Storm) They had the drug dogs sniffing all around me and on me. Of course they didn't find anything because I didn't do drugs.
So I was arrested for DWI and fleeing the scene of an accident that night.

THAT WAS 15 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spent 18 days in jail for that crime. I went to court only once, and I sat in jail until they finally let me out almost 3 weeks later. It was a misdemeanor. I've never in my life had a felony. And I've never since then ever been in trouble with the law ever again.

Now let me explain this.....I'm GLAD I got caught and arrested for driving while drunk! Shame on me! I was blessed to have wrecked the car into the deep water that night because I could have hit another car. I could have ran over someone or even killed someone else over my selfishness!

This all happened 15 years ago this month and the state of Missouri is STILL holding my drivers license away from me. Do you want to know the reason why? Because they want MONEY! I've never had the money to get an attorney. I don't have the money to do the things they are asking me to do to get my license back. And shame on them for still holding this against me. I am 51 years old and haven't drove in 15 years. There are so many things I want to be involved in with the community and even be able to go pick my sweet grandkids up.

My husband works his tail off to pay bills, buy food, etc and he don't have the extra expenses to get me an attorney or even to buy me a cheap car. Now, we did go to an attorney one time a couple of years back, and the guy was very mean and rude to us. He pretty much told my husband and I that if we didn't give him $2000 that day for him to help me then the state of Missouri was never going to give my license back to me. I just gave up on everything that day.

If I have to go anywhere I usually will walk, yes even in the winter. Or, I have to get rides from my husband. He works 12 hours a day and then have to come home and run me around all over the place. So, I start feeling bad and eventually stopped asking for rides. If I can't walk, I just won't go. I have literally sat in my house for 15 days at time and more without leaving to go anywhere. Talk about depression!

So anyway, NO I'm not feeling sorry for myself at all! I deserved the jailtime that I got and whatever, but COME ON. Why are they doing this to me?!?! I have done my time and I have paid my punishment and then some.
Then I decided to just start a fundraiser fund to get my license back. I pray that people can hear my story and understand how this isn't right for them to do me this way.

Everyday I see Dwi's and Dui's and it will be the persons 6th or 7th offense!!!!! I got 1 and still paying for it 15 years later.

I cry and I just don't understand.

So, I am selling these handmade bundles for only $10. FREE SHIPPING in the USA. Every amount I make is going to go into my driver's license savings account. I ask for your support and thank you. Please share this page to everyone!
Here are the things they are still demanding me to do after 15 years!
-$50 re-instatement fee
-SATOP Class which is $350
- Then I have to take whatever program that the SATOP says that I have to take.
- 6 month blower machine in my car.
- I will have to retake the drivers and the written test.
PLUS I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CAR TO DO ALL THIS WITH! ugh.

If you would like to help with my fundraiser and buy a handmade quilt bundle, please look below at the details of my little project. I've worked super hard making 30 of these so far, not including the 20 that I gave away at my church LOL. Totally worth it though. I love my church family!
Below the Mini Prayer Quilt Product, you will also find a donation link where every amount raised will go in that same savings account as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
I will also keep track of all the money saved and keep it updates on here for all to see.
